Business Contacts
Membership allows you and your company to be at the heart of the industry,
working with like-minded companies, all dependant on the success of frozen
foods. We offer an unrivalled forum for networking, increasing the opportunity
for members to gain and maintain business contacts to facilitate sales.
We have a unique and substantial membership, which increases the Federation's
influence to outside agencies and ensures the Federation is an essential part of
the industry.
Legislative Issues
The Federation is involved in a wide range of consultations with various
Government departments covering a diverse range of issues affecting the frozen
food industry. As a member you would be kept informed of legislative and
technical issues as well as receive early warnings of any impending initiatives
which would affect working practices and subsequently your bottom line.

Communications
The Bulletin is the monthly publication of the Federation, it is an essential
digest for those seeking access to industry news. Members report that the
Bulletin is a cost-effective way to be kept informed of a wide range of the
developments in the frozen food industry, and to publicise their own company
developments via press releases to the Bulletin. The Bulletin is targeted
to major decision-makers including retail and foodservice buyers.
The Federation also publishes a range of regular Technical Circulars including
the 'T&L update' which often develops into "one to one"
discussions regarding the specific concerns of individual member companies.
Major Industry Events
The Federation is renowned within the food industry to run the most prestigious
unifying events in the frozen food calendar, allowing our members to meet on a
formal and informal basis, the most senior decision-makers in the UK's frozen
food industry.
The Annual Luncheon gathers together some 1,000 key industry figures, the majority of
which are senior food buyers. The event is held on the fourth Tuesday in
November each year. The Gala Dinner Dance gathers some 900 attendees and is held in
the summer on the second Thursday in June each year.

Annual Awards for New Products
Our Gala Dinner Dance incorporates the Federation's prestigious and unique
Annual Awards which recognises, rewards & publicises new products. It
provides a major PR platform in both the national and trade press, and generates
sales opportunities for participating members. The Awards are unique in so far
as they are judged by panels of consumers under formal MR procedures.
Frozen Food at IFE
The Federation organises "Frozen Food at IFE" Exhibition, which
generates a multitude of new business contacts for our exhibiting members. It is
one of the "big three" Frozen Food Exhibitions in Europe.

Technical Advice
To ensure the Federation is fully informed of activities and developments
throughout the food industry we continue to develop alliances with other
influential bodies. The information we source is analysed and collated at a very
early stage. We then keep our members fully aware, at an early stage, of the
wide range of eventualities which could affect their bottom lines. Member's
report that our advice is presented in a clear, accurate and informative manner.

Arbitration Service
We offer an arbitration service to members who are unable to resolve a trade
dispute, but who do not wish to undertake legal recourse.
Hot Line Facility
To help members specifically, the Federation provides legislative, technical and
commercial advice on a 'one to one' basis to individual members. We react
promptly and offer a confidential service to each member. The advice is usually
conducted over the telephone followed by written confirmation. We do not charge
extra and members report saving hundreds, running into thousands of pounds by
using our 'hot-line' facility.

charge, therefore new members recuperate nearly half of their membership fee, in
the first year.

Compared to any other similar trade associations, our membership fees are low
and offer outstanding value for money to members. Our services are offered
impartially, small companies are treated no differently and can benefit just as
much as multi-nationals.
