Our thanks to members for such positive feedback following the Annual Luncheon held at the London Hilton on Park Lane on 22nd November, 2011.
BFFF were delighted to have the generous support of its sponsors for this occasion – thanks go to Westbridge Foods, sponsors of the audio visual services, to Iceland Foods who gave their continued support to sponsoring the seating brochure and Gordon and Alison Lauder of Central Foods and Tipiak for once again sponsoring the coffee and chocolate course.
In his speech, BFFF President, Nick Shaw of the Westbridge Food Group, outlined some of the prominent issues affecting our industry and urged government departments to keep up the fight for sensible and practical solutions for the UK food industry whilst, as always, protecting the interests of consumers.
The President paid tribute to all members of the BFFF committees who have worked tirelessly on behalf of the Industry to make sure that BFFF prioritises those issues that are most important to our members.
The President also paid a special tribute to Ian Farley, BFFF Technical and Legislative Manager, on his retirement and thanked him for his tremendous contribution during some 15 years in his role. Ian retires at the end of the year and will be greatly missed. So big thanks to Ian for his work for the members of BFFF and we wish him and his wife, Thelma, a very happy retirement.
Anthony Marshall, Executive Chef at the Hilton provided a fantastic meal which attracted some well-deserved comments from many of the guests and this was later followed by entertainment by our guest speaker, John Moloney
Thanks to all those that attended – you are always an attentive audience and it’s your goodwill and friendliness that make the day the success it is.
Here’s a date to mark up in your 2012 diary:
Annual Luncheon Tuesday, 27th November 2012
We look forward to seeing you there!
