New potato range saves time and energy in the kitchen

A new comprehensive range of frozen potatoes has been launched by Ardo UK Ltd, designed to provide versatility and save time and energy in the kitchen.

The new range of half a dozen types of natural potato servings, come in four 2.5kg bags per box, and offers the catering industry a practical alternative to chips. Customers can choose from sliced or whole potatoes, sweet potato chunks or skin-on half potatoes, which are ideal for both profit sector and cost sector catering.

All the potato products are pre-cooked and do not contain any additives or flavouring. The potatoes are carefully processed to retain their shape, texture and flavour. Because they are frozen there is no waste, while time is saved, as there is no need for peeling, washing and chopping.

The six new products are:

· Natural Potatoes Premium – these small pre-cooked Nicola variety potatoes can accompany a variety of dishes and can be pan-fried, oven baked, microwaved or steamed.

· Potatoes Rustica – just like hand-cut potato chunks, these rustic irregular shapes look good in salads or as a side serving with vegetables.

· Half Potatoes with Skin – ideal for summer, these skin-on potatoes are suitable for western-style cooking, steakhouses or barbecues.

· Sweet Potatoes – cut into traditional chunks these are good roasted, mashed, in casseroles, soups or stews.

· Parisian Potatoes – slightly larger than Premium, these can be served with numerous dishes.

· Sliced Potatoes – uniformly sliced, they are the perfect choice for casseroles, au gratin dishes etc.

The new potato range provides a solution for quiet and peak times in the kitchen, an excellent alternative to chips and pasta, are fully portionable and have a long shelf life.
