Eversheds advises R&R Ice Cream on another sweet deal

The Paris office of international law firm Eversheds has advised R&R Ice Cream on the acquisition of Rolland Ice Cream, France’s third largest ice cream maker.

The acquisition of Brittany-based family firm Rolland, which produces around 65 million litres of ice cream annually and employs over 500 staff, will make R&R the number two ice cream group in terms of supermarket sales in the UK, Germany and France. The combined entity will now sell more 500m litres of ice cream a year, and will generate sales of more than £435m.

R&R were advised by a team from Eversheds' Paris office including partners Eric Knai & David Williams, assisted by Lowri Llwyd and Emilie Veyran from the corporate department, partner Stéphanie Stein assisted by Mathilde Plénat on the HR aspects, partner Dan Roskis assisted by Charlotte-Mai Dorémus on the competition aspects and Delphine Baudouin on the banking aspects.
