DBC Foodservice to supply Revolution vodka bars

DBC Foodservice has been awarded the multi-temperature food contract to supply products to Revolution vodka bars, worth an estimated £2.5m per year to the foodservice supplier.

Famed for their commitment to being the UK’s leading chain of premium vodka bars, Revolution’s 58 nationwide venues also offer bar food favourites via the group’s Love Food Menu. Revolution employed independent foodservice purchasing specialist Equinoxe Solutions to find a new, sole-supply solution for their ambient and chilled products across all sites. DBC was able to provide Revolution with the best pricing in the marketplace as well as a highly personal and responsive service to ensure the contract was mobilised quickly.

With a period of just eight weeks from enquiry to go-live date, DBC had to menu-match the group’s range of high quality products and set up new supply chains from a series of bespoke suppliers. Popular dishes on the Love Food Menu include mains such as Tuscan chicken, grilled 8oz Lakeland steak and stone-baked pizzas; sharing plates, pastas and paninis; and desserts such as tiramisu, panettone and chocolate cupcakes.

Chris Horne, managing director of DBC Foodservice, says: “We are delighted to be able to provide the responsive and flexible service Revolution was looking for in order to get the contract off the ground and running in such a short amount of time. With the people and infrastructure in place to mobilise new contracts quickly, a period of two months to live date is very achievable for a nationwide contract of this magnitude.”

Neil McLeod, development director at Revolution’s parent company Inventive Leisure, says: “Moving to sole supply has provided us with huge savings both financially and operationally. In addition to the competitive pricing, the level of support offered was key. We have been genuinely impressed with the short lines of communications to senior management.”

DBC is a privately owned delivered food wholesale business which sells to all sectors of the catering industry such as independent restaurants, hotels, private schools, local authorities, healthcare, the MoD worldwide food supply and high street restaurant chains. The company serves caterers with over 8,000 multi-temperature products, turning over in excess of £270m.

With 14 regional branches throughout the UK, DBC is able to adopt the approach of a local supplier, offering bespoke solutions for customers and short communication lines, while using its national infrastructure to source an extensive range of quality products.
