After the success of their Lamb Kofta, UK meat manufacturer The Big Kitchen has launched a new Shish Kebab to develop the ethnic inspired range.
Pre-cooked for the caterer’s convenience, the new Shish Kebab is made from quality lamb and pork seasoned with a complex blend of herbs and spices including Rosemary, Thyme, Cumin, Cardamom and Fenugreek. The kebab has an authentic spicy kick to provide consumers with a taste of the east. This latest addition to The Big Kitchen’s cooked meats range takes just a few minutes to heat from frozen, for a Middle Eastern dish which is big on flavour, with minimum effort!
The new Shish Kebab is ideal for event catering, as well as pubs and restaurants looking to update their starter, sharing platter or BBQ offering with a profitable and appealing addition to their menu.
Jonathan Ashmore, Commercial Director, The Big Kitchen explains;
“The demand for exciting new flavours is increasing all the time. Some of the more popular dishes in the UK tend to have eastern roots, so broadening the flavours that appear on the menu is an excellent profit opportunity for the caterer. The complex range of herbs and spices means that dishes such as our new Shish Kebab can offer caterers greater margins as consumers seek out more adventurous, exciting food.”
As with The Big Kitchen’s entire dedicated foodservice range, the new Shish Kebab has been developed to deliver value for the operator and quality to the consumer. Available in a 60 x 28g case, why not try serving with a cool yoghurt and chive dip for a delicious and authentic Middle Eastern dish.
