ANNUAL LUNCHEON 2012
Our thanks to members for such positive feedback following the Annual Luncheon held at the London Hilton on Park Lane on 27th November 2012.
BFFF were delighted to have the generous support of its sponsors for this occasion – thanks go to Westbridge Foods, sponsors of the audio visual services, to SFC (Wholesale) Ltd. for sponsoring the President’s Reception, Iceland Foods who gave their continued support to sponsoring the seating brochure and Gordon and Alison Lauder of Central Foods and Tipiak for once again sponsoring the coffee and chocolate course.
In his speech, BFFF President, Nick Shaw of the Westbridge Food Group, congratulated Peter Allan of Cargill Meats Europe on his appointment as Vice-President of BFFF.
The President also welcomed the newly-appointed committee members and paid tribute to all members of the BFFF committees who have worked tirelessly on behalf of the Industry to make sure that BFFF prioritises those issues that are most important to our members.
The President also paid a special tribute to J. Sykes & Sons on their 150 years – what an amazing achievement. He also congratulated Aviko on celebrating their 50th year and KK who celebrate their 25th anniversary. There was also a surprise presentation in the President’s Reception to Phil Holman of Hopwells who has served on the Federation’s Wholesale Committee for many years and who will retire shortly. We wish Phil and his family a very happy future.
Anthony Marshall, Executive Chef at the Hilton provided a fantastic meal which attracted some well-deserved comments from many of the guests and this was later followed by entertainment by our guest speaker, Dominic Holland
