Membership allows you and your company to be at the heart of the industry, working with like-minded companies, all dependant on the success of frozen foods.
A unique and substantial membership covering the entire cold chain from large companies to SMEs, which increases our influence with Government and outside agencies. Membership services are offered impartially to each individual member company.
A number of major retailers and branded manufacturers contributed towards a Consumer Promotion campaign to capitalise on the growing consumer interest in frozen food, particularly the minimal wastage, the locked-in nutritional goodness and, of course, the excellent value that frozen has to offer.
Foodservice Promotion - BFFF members agreed to contribute, over a three-year period, just over £150,000 to educate, promote, excite and inform the key participants within our industry about the values of frozen food.
Involved in a wide range of consultations with Government departments, which cover a diverse range of issues affecting the frozen food industry.
Unrivalled forum for networking, increasing the opportunity for members to gain and maintain business contacts to facilitate sales.
BFFF Annual Awards for New Products scheme, which recognises and rewards quality initiatives in new products – the 'Oscars' of the frozen food industry.
Industry publication 'The Bulletin’ with an exclusive readership, an essential digest of our industry’s news targeted to major decision-makers including retail and foodservice buyers.
BFFF is the originator and promoter of 'Frozen Food at IFE'. Our stand forms a natural focal point at the heart of the frozen zone and is a major information centre and meeting place for everyone connected with frozen foods. IFE is one of the "big three" Frozen Food Exhibitions in Europe.
New Member Profile in the Bulletin published free of charge and can help recuperate some of the first year’s membership costs. This ensures that the industry is aware of your company’s products and services.

Providing Services to our Members
Members are kept informed of technical and legislative issues via the T&L update and receive early warnings of impending initiatives.
BFFF keeps members up to date with new legislation and campaigns on health & safety matters via our quarterly newsletter 'Keep It Safe', regular Bulletin articles and regular meetings with the H&S Working Group and representatives from our Local Authority and the HSE.
Contact details of relevant members given to trade enquiries, we also assist with members' sourcing issues. We actively promote our members to such enquiries.
Our membership list is available to members to enable direct contact with other members.
Hotline for legislative, technical and health & safety advice on a confidential 'one to one' basis to members.
Arbitration service for members who are unable to resolve a trade dispute, but who do not wish to undertake legal recourse.
UK Retail, UK Foodservice & International statistics available via the Bulletin and our website. We also publish a quarterly Journalists Guide, which reviews the performance of the retail sector.
Projects to Address Special Issues
Elected Committees look at issues affecting the industry as a whole and also sector-specific issues.
Working groups of selected specialists tackle key industry issues.
BFFF hosted seminars/workshops pertinent to industry issues and members’ needs for example in areas such as sustainability and regional seminars.
The Carbon Trust project involved working with Enviros to trial temperature of product through the cold chain. We have ciruclated the findings and areas of potential savings for carbon, energy and costs to our members and are now looking at ways to build on this initial project.
