MANAGERS IN FALLS FROM VEHICLES CAMPAIGN
Around 2000 workers are seriously injured
in falls from HGVs every year, making it a common workplace accident. Although
most of these falls are from relatively low levels i.e. below head height, they
frequently result in broken bones - with
about 800 injuries classed as major each year and an average of five workers
killed every year.

A SAFETY ‘FIRST’ FOR THE BRITISH FROZEN FOOD
FEDERATION
We are delighted to inform
our members that the British Frozen Food Federation, has formed a unique
partnership agreement with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in the Midlands
and the Local Authority (LA) in Boston, Lincolnshire.
This partnership is part of the Lead Authority Partnership scheme (LAPS)
and is the first three-way agreement in the UK between the HSE, the LA and a
trade association.

highlighted the Lead Authority Partnership Scheme (LAPS) to our members and the
benefits that this scheme can bring to an organisation.
