Vince Craig, who is the Chairman of the BFFF Technical & Legislative Committee and a member of Executive Council has been appointed to the Council of Food From Britain (FFB), by Secretary of State at DEFRA, Margaret Beckett. We are absolutely delighted to congratulate Vince on his new appointment, especially as it is the first BFFF official to also serve on the FFB Board.

An expert in food industry issues, Vince spent 14 years in senior positions at Tesco, especially as Divisional Director, responsible for the quality and safety of all foods produced under the Tesco brand. In 1994,he joined Hazlewood Foods as their Group Technical Director and following the takeover of Hazlewood's in 2001 he set up his own specialist consultancy company, Meadowbrae Technical Services Ltd.

As Chairman of the BFFF Technical & Legislative Committee, Vince heads up a unique grouping of people representing multiples, major wholesalers, producers and also importers who work together to ensure that the whole cold chain is well-represented to Government in terms of comments and submissions on current and forthcoming legislation on the members behalf to the likes of the Food Standards Agency and to DEFRA.
